So, Gintama 98 and 99 gave us a glimpse at the role of video gaming in Future Edo.
The results?
The world famous Bentendo OwEe. The console so big, that thousands of otaku line up to buy one on the release date. Of course despite the abundance of consoles when the store was opened, there had to be only one OwEe that could be acquired – so two group of challengers decided to take the challenge.
In the red corner - The Yoruzuya!
And in the blue corner - The Shinsengumi!
Alongside a couple of special guests.
The world famous samurai plumber!
And his...not-so-similar looking twin brother!
Thus, a video game battle to the death ensued. Which mostly featured:
– A dating sim featuring a girl with a weird fetish of eating a sword fish while going to school and lots and lots of BAD ENDS.
– Nobunaga’s Vomiting Tetris Ambition.
– And finally, a virtual reality RPG which features the unique ability of using your NPCs as combat weapons.
In the end, however – nobody won, the console has been discontinued and our still VR-laden heroes have beaten the living snot out of everyone at the store.
